This afternoon the yearbook Holland Sports & Industry 2020-2021 was presented in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. In the presence of a select group of invitees, Camil Smeulders of Orange Sports Forum handed the first copy to Sander van Stiphout, program manager innovation at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and Harry van Dorenmalen, chairman of the Top Team Sport.
Holland Sports & Industry is a publication of Orange Sports Forum, a platform for promoting companies, organizations and institutions that have a connection with Dutch sport. The yearbook serves as an important reference work for the Dutch sports industry.
As a publishing partner, Sportinnovator has a special supplement in the yearbook this year. This special contains various examples of innovations and initiatives that have been developed from the Sportinnovator formula. For example, there are articles about the recyclable climbing grip GreenHolds, Sport Data Valley and the Sports Engineering Institute. In addition, there is a major interview with Top Team Sports chairman Harry van Dorenmalen in which he explains why the quadruple helix principle of sports, business, science and government is so important to Sportinnovator.
During the presentation, the international opportunities of Dutch sports innovations were specifically discussed:
Camil Smeulders, founder of Orange Sports Forum:
“The opportunities to work together internationally with Dutch sports innovations are enormous. Orange Sports Forum, the ArenA and Sportinnovator are really complementary partners there.”
Sander van Stiphout, innovation program manager at the Johan Cruijff ArenA:
“With the Johan Cruijff ArenA we like to be the showroom for the world, for sport and for the adjacent business and certainly also in the field of innovation.”
Harry van Dorenmalen, chairman Topteam Sport:
“The Netherlands is often at the forefront of innovative ideas, but needs other countries to take that last step. We bring it to 80% and then need others to make it better.”
The Holland Sports & Industry 2020-2021 yearbook is distributed to all Dutch embassies abroad, all foreign embassies in the Netherlands, Dutch and international sports federations, governments (ministries, provinces and large municipalities), as well as to all partners of Orange Sports Forum, Holland Sports & Industry and Sports Innovator.
