Recently, Orange Sports Forum organised a seminar, together with the Dutch Embassy in Doha, about the business opportunities in Qatar related to sports. The results of this seminar and the opportunities that were presented, were received highly valuable and promising to a diversity of Dutch sports related companies. The Dutch Embassy in Doha, showed the high amount of investments in sports and the upcoming tenders around the World Championships in Athletics 2019, the FIFA World Cup 2022, the 2023 FINA World Championships (Aquatics) and over 30 regional, national and international sporting events, hosted by Qatar.
Therefore, OSF initiated the development of a Dutch sports related consortium, with a focus on Qatar for the upcoming years (2019-2022). By this collaborative approach, we are able to offer complete solutions, combine our networks and expertise and combine our strengths to enter the market in Qatar. The consortium is created around the theme Sports, Innovation and Vitality and is hoping to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and create business in Qatar. With this multi-year cooperation, also the Dutch government is cooperating with the consortium, with f.e. organising trade missions, a liaison, economic diplomacy, et cetera.
We expect to organise the first trade mission to Qatar in March or April 2019 and we are looking forward to cooperate with local partners for the development of Sports, Innovation and Vitality!
